OBJECTIVES:

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

>> Describe common nutritional care problems nursing homes and strategies for addressing them.
>> Assess residents' food and fluid consumption at mealtimes and snack times.
>> Describe and implement an evidence-based mealtime assistance protocol.
>> Describe and implement an evidence-based snack-time assistance protocol.
>> Describe resource management strategies that support implementation of a meal-and snack-time feeding assistance program.
>> Continuously monitor and evaluate a meal-and snack-time feeding assistance program.
