Illinois University and the University of Cincinnati respectively
Fofi Constantinidou joined the department in 1995 and has taught courses
in adult neurological language (SPA 621, SPA 225) and cognitive disorders
(SPA 671) and research methods (SPA 662). Her clinical teaching in
the MU Speech and Hearing Clinic also relates to the above topics.
She has served as the SPA Graduate Director since 1997.
Constantinidou's research is in neurological disorders like brain
injury and stroke and their effects on cognitive abilities, in particular
learning and memory. Currently, she is the principal investigator
in a clinical trails project to determine the effectiveness of cognitive
rehabilitation following brain trauma. She involves undergraduate
and graduate students in her research at the NeuroCognitive Disorders
Lab. |
