Rules and Grading

Rules:

1. Students must be in their assigned seats and quiet before the bell rings.
2. Students must bring all pertinent materials necessary for class.
3. There will be no talking, note passing, or other types of communication among students without permission from the instructor.
4. Students must receive permission before leaving their seats.

Rewards:

Students will be rewarded for following the rules by:

1. earning projects for extra-credit.
2. making tutorials (i.e. crosswords, wordfinds, posters, etc).

Consequences:

If a student chooses not to follow the rules the instructor will:

• First offense: Tell the student to copy, word for word, a pertinent section of the chapter being studied.
• Second offense: The first offense assignment is doubled.
• Third offense: Have the student come for a detention on a day and time of the instructor's choice.
• Fourth offense: Send the student to the principal for discipline.

Severity Clause:

If a severe disturbance (fighting, backtalk, foul language, etc.) occurs the student can proceed directly to consequence #4.
