
There are two primary sources of DNA for cloning.
  -  Genomic DNA: DNA purified from almost any cell is identical. Can you 
    name an exception?
- cDNA is made from mRNA is not the same from all cells but is reflective 
    of the genes that are actively coding. In addition it lacks introns and can 
    be expressed in prokaryotes.
