I believe that this site would be interesting to other studentsbecause it
shows micrographs of xylem, phloem, flower parts, and other plantstructures
that we have studied in BMZ 116.

I believe that this article would be benificial to the class inhelping us
to understand the importance of xylem in plants, under differentconditions.
This project dealt with newly planted jack pine and white spruce inmixed miner
al, undisturbed soil with minimum xylem water potential. This wasdone to unde
rstand water relation and growth, explaining when xylem use is mostbeneficial
and how it works.

In all of our studies related to botany in BMZ its important thatwe
don't look over the very method of just how plants transfer water. This
will not only help us pass the class but also give us a better
understanding of the world around us.

The page was about Campynemaceae Dum. This page would be useful toa group of
students because it shows an example of a plant without vessels. This happened
to be one of the most interesting facts that I picked up on fromthe page.

This URL explores the effects of aquatic environmental pressures onthe
xylem in aquatic plants. Several scientists even argue theexistance of
acropetal water transport in aquatic plants. The URL containsclear,
beautiful pictures, and explains the function of xylem in plants.

This short commentary on differnet methods of transport touches onsome of the
differentt ways that planbts move nutrients through themselves. One way mentio
ned was the use of xylem to transport nutrients. Other ways werediffusion so
that a comarison could be made between the two. This site would beuseful for
a refernce if doin a comaprative paper.

I think this would be of interest to students in thiscourse because it
simplifies and makes the definition and various details ofxylem in
plants easier to understand because it puts thedescription in basic
lamens terms.

attacks the corn and wheat plant, preventing them from drawing inwater.
This is interesting because is this fungus is not controlled thanthere
could be some serious threats to a farmers' crops, which wouldultimatly
affect our food supply. I like this article because it shows somepracticle
application of a fungus that could inhibit the growth of a plant byrestricting
the root system.

This site is of interest to this couse because it was very helpful explaining
the different aspects of the xylem in the plant. It was not tlike others sites
that I found where I felt like I was reading a foreign language. It simply
explained the definition and the various parts without being too technical.
