I have made every effort in the creation of these laboratory exercises to make them doable within the time frame of the formal laboratory period.  Whether or not you are able to finish within the allotted time depends on:

1.  How well you prepare for each lab.
 

• Did you read through the lab exercise before coming to lab?
• Do you know exactly what you will be doing during the lab?
• Have you planned your laboratory activities prior to coming to lab?

2.  How well you use your time in lab.
 

• Your primary objective should be to prepare the material and image it during lab.
• How rapidly you meet your primary objective depends on how well you master the techniques introduced in the early laboratories.
• You should plan on spending time outside of lab processing your images and completing the electronic exercises (ca. 6 hours/week should suffice)
• You are encourage to collaborate with one another on material preparation, however all images turned in should be your own.
• Don't spend a lot of time in idle conversation with your colleagues.
