Physics 111 Astronomy Links
Below, you'll find links to sites that may be useful (or just fun!).
- The Miami University Astronomy Club
maintains a page with useful stuff and a bulletin board giving meeting and observing session
details. Note: this link is out of date. I'll try to get the new one.
- Astronomy Picture of the Day
is a site maintained by NASA. Everyday they post an interesting astronomical image
with good explanation and links for more information.
- The Latest Images From Hubble
can be found here . . . plus links to archived Hubble images.
- NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL)
maintains excellent sites for each of its past, ongoing,
and future planetary missions.
- There are several excellent astronomy news sources on the web:
- Astronomy Magazine allows anyone to read its News section
(you have to be a subscriber to read the articles; although the Miami libraries has
both a print and electronic subscription)
- The same is true for Sky and Telescope.
