Physics 111 Astronomy Links

Below, you'll find links to sites that may be useful (or just fun!).
  1. The Miami University Astronomy Club maintains a page with useful stuff and a bulletin board giving meeting and observing session details. Note: this link is out of date. I'll try to get the new one.

  2. Astronomy Picture of the Day is a site maintained by NASA. Everyday they post an interesting astronomical image with good explanation and links for more information.

  3. The Latest Images From Hubble can be found here . . . plus links to archived Hubble images.

  4. NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) maintains excellent sites for each of its past, ongoing, and future planetary missions.

  5. There are several excellent astronomy news sources on the web:
    • Astronomy Magazine allows anyone to read its News section (you have to be a subscriber to read the articles; although the Miami libraries has both a print and electronic subscription)
    • The same is true for Sky and Telescope.
