What's the Matter with My Snow?

Students collect snow samples around their school.  Collected samples are used to explore the concepts of density and phase change as well as the math skills of measurement and statistics. The "Take It Further" section of the lesson provides Internet links that allow students to explore the water cycle through an interactive, downloadable software program. The Family Page extends this learning to the community by providing families with challenges to explore at home.

 

Runaway Snowball I made myself a snowball as perfect as could be. I thought I'd keep it as a pet and let it sleep with me. I made it some pajamas and a pillow for its head. Then last night it ran away, but first it wet the bed. Anonymous
