Why do I have to save some files to disk (desktop) before I can view them or why can't I view some files?

Any file in Science for Ohio is designed to open as soon as you click on it. If this is not happening, your Internet browser (Netscape, Internet Explorer) does not have Adobe Acrobat Reader set as the portable document file (PDF) viewer. You will need to go into the preferences folder of your Internet browser to make this change. If what I've just said sounds like Greek, find a techie friend to do it for you. It takes about 30 seconds if you know what to do and about an hour if you don't. If your PDF viewing software is properly loaded on your computer, you should be able to click here and go directly to a page that says, "Your PDF software is working!"
