Pre-Law Program at Miami University

Internships

Whether it be the Pre-Law Program's summer internship in the Philippines, or a different legal internship opportunity through a company or relative, students are encouraged to explore their interest in law by seeking out experiences that will broaden their exposure to the legal profession and community. Students are encouraged to visit the Pre-Law Program office, as well as Career Services to learn more. Some current internship opportunities include:

Takeda Pharmaceuticals Government Affairs Internexternal link icon. Track/monitor federal legislation and regulations; provide updates and reports; attend policy-related meetings; research issues related to federal advocacy; draft/provide testimony, policy and/or advocacy materials; draft meeting agendas; coordinate meetings; draft and distribute summation reports.

United Parcel Service Legislative Assistant Internshipexternal link icon. Research; write papers; track/monitor legislative activity; event planning; attend hearings/briefings; assemble/disseminate publications; organize briefing materials.

Office of General Counsel, Legal Internexternal link icon. This summer internship program is located in Cincinnati, OH. Duties include researching information and providing assistance to an assigned attorney. Job posting closes April 8, 2013.
