Miami University's Center for Neuroscience and Behavior is an interdisciplinary research center with a mission to promote neuroscience research as well as to train graduate and undergraduate students for a career in developmental, cellular, molecular, and/or behavioral neuroscience.
Miami University offers:
- undergraduate minor in Neuroscience
- M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in neuroscience research
Center faculty conduct research in:
- behavioral neuroscience
- cellular, molecular, and developmental neurobiology
- neuroanatomy
- neurophysiology
- neurochemistry
- neuroendocrinology
- neuropharmacology
- neuroimaging
State-of-the-art laboratory facilities are available for faculty and student research. Miami also hosts a local chapter (Gamma in Ohio) of Nu Rho Psi, the National Honor Society in Neuroscience. Membership in Nu Rho Psi is open to faculty, post-doctoral scholars, graduate and undergraduate students.
