About Mr. Brady...

High School

I grew up in Tallmadge, Ohio and graduated from Tallmadge High School in 1989. Some of my best memories of those days were the times spent with my cross country teammates (all 7 of them). Although our team was small, we managed to qualify for the Ohio State High School Cross Country Championships during my senior year. While at Tallmadge, I also competed in Track and was a member of the Biology/Ecology and Spanish clubs.

College (Undergraduate)

Following high school I attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. At NMU I studied biology and chemistry, and I compteted in cross country running and skiing. I graduated from NMU in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Water Science (biology and chemistry).

I trained for skiing for another year after graduating from NMU, then I returned to Ohio and obtained my teaching certification from the University of Akron in 1999. I have been teaching at New Philadelphia High School since 1999.

College (Graduate)

I am currently working toward my Masters degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Family

I am happily married to Mrs. Brady who also teaches Biology at NPHS. We have two cats (Emrys and Sadie) and one dog (Niko). I have two sisters (Erin and Sarah) who, along with my mom, live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. My dad lives in Stow, Ohio when he isn't living out of his backpack and exploring the world.

Interests(in addition to biology!)

I enjoy anything that involves being outside. Some of my favorite activities include skiing, cycling, running, kayaking, backpacking, SCUBA diving and rock climbing. I also enjoy photography and reading (about biology!).
