Every action, whether your an adult or child has consequences and rewards, wouldn't you rather have the reward?
Here is a general guideline to classroom management that will occur in Ms. V's room. Realize there is room to deviate based on the situation that occurs.
- non verbal warning
- verbal warning
- sent out in hall, conference with student
- detention
- phone call home
- office referral
- parent conference with student
- conference with parents, student, Mr. Sollmann, and Ms. Vidic
- removal
Realize that it is very rare that these steps go all the way to the bottom. Based on the students action there may be a jump of steps depending on the situation.
MS. VIDIC'S DETENTIONS ARE HELD AT 6:45-7:15AM IN ROOM 314.
I FIND THAT THIS TIME IS RESERVED FOR DT'S ,AFTER SCHOOL IS RESERVED FOR STUDENTS THAT WANT SOME HELP. USUALLY STUDENTS DO NOT REPEAT THIS POINT OF DISCIPLINE CONTINUOUSLY BECAUSE OF THE EFFECTIVNESS OF THE TIME.
