The Department of Mathematics, Miami University, invites
applications for two tenure track Assistant
Professor positions starting in Fall 2014.
The successful candidates must have completed a Ph.D. before
the starting date.
Duties include an active research program in mathematics, effective teaching
at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and service to the institution. Preference will be given to candidates in Differential Equations, Logic / Set Theory, and Geometry / Topology, but outstanding candidates in all areas matching existing research groups in the department will be considered. This is a continuing position subject to annual renewal. Required
qualifications include a strong record of teaching mathematics at the
post-secondary level and a master's degree in Mathematics or Applied
Mathematics; a Ph.D. is preferred. Duties include teaching
undergraduate courses (primarily calculus and precalculus), advising,
and service to the department. The position may also involve
coordinating sections of high-enrollment courses such as calculus or
