Core Staff
Dr. Thomas Crist is Director of IES and Professor of Zoology. He administers the M.En. program and the undergraduate co-majors in environmental science and sustainability. His research interests include landscape ecology, biodiversity, and conservation biology.
Suzanne Zazycki, JD, is the Outreach Coordinator for IES, and is responsible for professional service projects, internships, and public and alumni outreach. Suzanne is a 1992 graduate of the IES program.
Dr. Donna McCollum is Environmental Monitoring Coordinator and has been with the M.En. program since 2007. Dr. McCollum is responsible for many of the natural science service-learning initiatives of the program (e.g. Butler County Stream Team).
Dr. Vincent Hand is Visiting Associate Professor in IES and the School of Engineering and Applied Science. He teaches courses in energy and project management.
Dr. Adam Berland is a Visiting Assistant Professor in IES and the Department of Geography. His research interests include urban ecology, GIS, and spatial analysis.
Ms. Denise Withrow is the Program Associate. She is the first responder to all questions in the office and maintains the database and contacts of alumni and friends. She is the central figure in the functioning of the office.
