- from Cleveland, OH
"Hi! My name is Erin Bozarth and I'm currently a junior, with a major in urban and regional planning major and a co-major in sustainability. I stumbled on these majors in a bit of a moment of what-am-I-doing-with-my-life panic, knowing that I would somehow like to make cities more sustainable, but not really knowing how to start on that path. I've been really happy with this combination of majors so far and I can really see them helping to guide me towards what I want to do in the future. I'm currently looking at graduate programs in planning or urban design."
"At Miami, I'm involved in a brand new chapter of Net Impact, an organization whose goal is to change the world through business. It focuses on social as well as environmental responsibility, and is another awesome organization involved in social entrepreneurship. This chapter was just recently founded at Miami and everyone has really high hopes to make Miami and Oxford greener through our work!"
"I'll be going abroad spring semester to New Zealand, where I'll be studying at Victoria University of Wellington, and I absolutely cannot wait. Wellington is their capital city and it's located on the southern tip of the North Island, so the landscape is a wonderful mix of urban life as well as public beaches and gardens. I'm so excited to be able to see how New Zealand handles sustainability. Since they have such little space to work with, conservation is key! I plan on keeping a blog on my adventures in Kiwi culture as well as sustainability abroad."
