Mission Statement
The Miami University Humanities Center brings together faculty, students, and the public for conversation and debate about culture and human experience. The Center sponsors a range of activities including public lectures, readings, workshops, and seminars in order to foster creative exchanges and collaborations that traverse traditional boundaries and disciplinary practices.
The Miami University Humanities Center is both a physical and virtual meeting place for scholars in the Humanities. It facilitates conversations among students, scholars, and the public and proposes annual projects or common themes open to the widest possible community. It exists as a home for diverse institutional groups on campus, offering funds for meetings and speakers, logistical support, and means of dissemination in both digital and traditional forms.
