General Grants Program

Each year, the Humanities Center provides up to $60,000 for faculty working groups, conferences, archival and digital projects, lectures, and symposia.  We are particularly interested in interdisciplinary activities; events that bring together unique communities or have connections to curriculum; and programs that showcase the humanities for large groups of faculty, students, and community members.

The Humanities Center Steering Committee considers proposals three times a year, allocating available funds on a rolling basis. We urge applicants to apply well in advance of proposed events.
Proposals made in the 2012-2013 academic year will be considered immediately after the following deadlines:

• Friday, September 21, 2012
• Friday, January 11, 2013
• Friday, April 12, 2013

To apply for funding, please first read the Center’s guidelines for application and then send a completed application and budget to humanitiesgrants@muohio.edu.
