We are happy to provide much of the data collected with LTREB support (as well as data collected before LTREB funding) as Excel files. However, we ask that you first contact one of the PIs to obtain these data. We make this request so that we can keep track of how our data are used, so we can provide important information to users about data collection and analyses, and so we can inform NSF about our data sharing activities. When contacting us, we ask that you provide the following information:
- Inform the PIs of your intent and in which datasets you are interested.
- When using the data, acknowledge the appropriate sources of funding for the datasets. We will provide you with the appropriate acknowledgement information once you contact us.
- We ask to review manuscripts which incorporate a large amount of these data, as it may be appropriate for one or more PIs to be included as co-authors.
Available Datasets
Inflow Streams (available for 3 streams)
- Daily discharge (1994-2008)
- Concentrations of NH4-N, NO3-N, soluble reactive P (SRP) and suspended solids (SS) (1994-2008)
Acton Lake (1994-2008 unless otherwise noted)
- Physical parameters (temperature, dissolved oxygen, PAR, Secchi depth)
- Chlorophyll-a (phytoplankton)
- Total suspended solids (SS) and non-volatile suspended solids (NVSS)
- Soluble nutrient concentrations (NH4-N, NO3-N, SRP)
- Total nutrient concentrations (total N and total P)
- Seston (particulate) C, N and P concentrations
- Phytoplankton species composition (1992-2007)
- Zooplankton species composition
- Real time data are also available from our automated sensor buoy on Acton Lake. In addition, data from the buoy are available on the website, starting on 23 April 2010. Datasets include:
- Lake data (temperature, oxygen, chlorophyll, turbidity and pH, and lake level)
- Weather data (air temperature, wind speed and direction, relative humidity, solar radiation (PAR), and barometric pressure)
- Data on gizzard shad biomass, population density and body size, collected by the Ohio Division of Wildlife, are also available. Please contact one of the PIs for instructions on how to obtain these data.
