Necessary Optics:

Set up on table before lab:
1.  HeNe laser
2.  Neutral density filter holder (to place polarizers in)

Available on table for use during lab:
3.  Dichroic sheets (linear polarizers)
4.  Cacite Crystal -- birefringent material
5.  Quarter waveplate (plastic is fine for HeNe)
6.  Half waveplate
7.  Mystery polarizers -- quarter waveplate and linear polarizer aligned 45 degrees to transmission axis placed together in a slide projector slide holder.  You need two for each lab group.  Sides are only marked with letters for students to refer to when testing the 2 mystery items.
